How To Transition from 1 Child to 2 Children

Hi friends! I hope your doing well. I did a video sharing some tips on how to transition from 1 child to 2 children. When we started to TTC, Bobby was 2 1/2 and had no clue what was going to happen. Once we got pregnant a month later we really started really talking to him about the changes that we're going to happen. Fortunately for us, he's a pretty easy going kid. He adjust well to change and was some what self sufficient (meaning he was potty trained, can follow instructions, and things of that sort). I hope you take some of the tips I shared and incorporate them into your family's transition. I think Bobby did so well with the big change because we made it a very exciting thing, like Christmas. What kid doesn't look forward to Christmas?!?

Let me know what you did or plan to do to transition your family. I would love to hear what worked for you or perhaps what didn't!

Be sure to subscribe to my Youtube Channel for weekly videos.

I love you all xoxoxo

My Favorite Fall Candles

I love candles all year long, especially during the cooler months. Fall candle scents are one of my favorite things about fall. The warmth and coziness they bring to my house is inviting and I love it. So I want to share some of my favorites right now, and some that I don't care for.

Bath and Body Works
They've recently went back to the White Barn candle company from Slatkin & CO. I like White Barn and I'm glad they've brought them back.
Leaves is a popular fall scent that I've fallen in love with. It feature notes of golden nectar, delicious apple and red berries. To me it smells like being outside in a wooded area during fall. It's a great scent! The candle I have is small and it filled my entire living room with its amazing aroma! I highly recommend trying this, if you havent already.

Co Bigelow Nutmeg and Ginger Mint were also from Bath & Bodyworks. We have an outlet here and it was purchased there. I'm not sure if they have them at the regular stores, but I'm sure you could find them online. The scents are nice, but not as strong as the Leaves candle. I probably wouldnt buy this one again.

Sparkling Icicles is a Slatkin & Co candle, so Im not sure if its still available but its smells fresh with a touch of floral. I haven't burned this one yet, so I'm not sure about how strong the aroma is. The scent is a combination of moss, bergamont, and a finishing touch of citrus bouquet.

Walmart
They sell a variety of brands, many which are food scents. The prices are great bit in my opinon most of the quaility sucks.
ScentSation Sweet Pea- I've used the wickless cubes of scented wax for a long time. This brand is great, I was suprised by how much I liked them. The scents are great and they have a strong enough scent they fill the whole living room. The price is reasonable and they have a great variety. Sweet Pea is more of a spring summer scent but its a fresh scent that I like to burn all year long. They make one called Maid Up which smells like soap or detergent it's a favorite of mine. It can be strong, but I love to burn it while I clean. It makes my house smell so clean! They also have website http://scentsation.com if you want to check them out

Better Homes and Garden Soft Cashmere Amber and Warm Rustic Woods- Soft Cashmere is a scent wax cube which smells amazing but isnt strong. The Warm Rustic Woods also smells great and is perfect for a bathroom or small space. I keep this one in my bathroom and it leaves the perfect fall scent. For the price they bot are nice and I would re-purchase these two.

Right now I believe Bath & Bodyworks is having the 2 for 20 sale on the large candles. You should check it out and stock up on some awesome quaility candle. And if you want a cheaper option the scented wax cubes are perfect! Let me know what your favorites candles are or what you love about fall!
Wishing you all a Sensational Day!

Trend Alert: Colored Denim

I was able to get my Trend Alert Tuesday up on Tuesday, but I have it today. The trend that I'm loving right now is colored denim. It's such a great way to add a pop of color to your outfit. Plus they're now available in many different price points. I brought my royal blue skinnies from a local store for $19.99, what a deal! I know Target carries some as well ,if your looking to try them and don't want to splurge. As you can tell I'm not small, and have large thighs and calves. This is a trend that I feel looks good on everyone. Colored denim can be dressed up, with heels, or down with flats or sandals. If you try one trend this spring, I think it should definitely be colored denim!

During my high fashion photo shoot my lovely assistant decided he wanted to walk the dog. He's such a big boy and looked too cute not to include in my photos! What a stud!

Here's a couple other colors to look at, if you don't want a blue pair

Chevron Boxes

For the last couple weeks I've been doing a few projects to decorate the bathroom. I have most of it complete, all that's left to paint, and  then a few random things. I saw these boxes at Target that had a chevron lid, and were super cute. So I took that idea and made it work for the bathroom. I haven't done too many step by step tutorial, so please bear with me! If it sucks, I'm sorry.

There you have it friends, I hope you try to decorate with boxes. If you have or are going to please share it with me, because I'd love to see! Thanks for reading and supporting my blog.

LOOK WHO GOT A FACE LIFT!

Our little blog got a mini face lift! I could be happier with the way it looks. I used a free Blogger template that was nice, but didn't give off the look I was going for. So what do you do when your in need for something creative? You go to Etsy! There are so many different options out there for premade and custom blog designs. I found Noor, her shops name is Blog Me Pretty (link is here), and she had a great template for a great price. She even installed it for me,which is a plus. That's not even the best part. Because the template was already made, she was able to install it as soon as I paid. For this inpatient mama, that's amazing. So for any blogger that are just starting out, like myself, you should do a mini blog overhaul. The appearance of a blog can make or break me reading. I know that sounds stupid, but if the blog doesn't look attractive most people won't stop a read what you've wrote. Anyway, I like it and hope you guys like it as well!

:side note: My wonderful mama brought Baby B a toy box for his birthday, and it finally arrived today! It's awesome and totally reminds me of when I was a kid.  Look at my little guy looking so fierce!

Bobby's Superhero 1st Birthday!

I wanted to share with you all the details of Baby B's Superhero 1st birthday party. We had it at a restaurant near our house, and invited about 20 people. I pleased with the way it turned out. it was my 1st time planning a party like this. There are so many inspirational party decor blogs out there and that's where a ton of my ideas came from. The decorations were DIY for the most part, and cost me no more then $100. I hope you all enjoy the pictures
The cupcake stand was made myself, which I talked about in my  party planning post. The plates and tablecloth were from Walmart, and are still available if your interested. The background is streamers that I hot glued to a project board.

The cupcake toppers I made myself using Picnik. If you'd like to know how message me for details

There is the birthday boy in his shirt that I had made from an Etsy store link here. The hat is made from glitter card stock paper purchased at MMicheal's. The "1" is felt that I cut out and hot glued. Super easy, but he didn't keep it on long!

The cape I made myself and just used a tutorial I found online. I also made one for the kids how came.

The cake was made by my Aunt, how did an amazing job. I think it looks great and was so happy she took the time to do it.

The blue icing dyed everything blue, even his hands! It was so fuuny. But to be honest, he didn't really east the cake! I thought he would love it, but he just liked to play with it. P

The happy birthday boy! We had a great time and it's crazy to think a year has gone by already, butI'm sure all you mommies feel the same way. I can't wait to see how he grows over the next year!

New Drugstore Makeup Review!!!

Right now there's a lot of talk about drugstore make-up products. I want to give you my thoughts on the ones I've brought. I first want to say that I've tried all different make-up brands,  but always liked higher end makeup. Not because I'm a make up snob, just because the color payoff was a lot better. Over the past couple months drugstore make up brands have come out with a bunch of new products. The ones that I've tried I've surprisingly loved.

1. Revlon Lip Butters- They are a mix between a lipstick, lip gloss, and chapstick. They glide on so smooth and feel super light. The color payoff for some can be too sheer, but Red Velvet is amazing. It's a dark red that's amazing.

2. Maybelline Color Tattoos 24hr Cream Gel Eyeshadow- This product is comparable to the MAC paint pots, which I know a ton of people use. It's an eyeshadow that can be worn as a base or by it's self. I absolutely love my MAC paint pot in Soft Ochre. But I was very surprised at how well these worked. I only used Tough as Taupe, it worked as a great base, went on smoothly, and lasted all day. They did come out with some bright colors, which aren't my style, but would be great for some bright eye looks. I will be buying more of these.

3. Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer- For a drugstore concealer it's okay, but I do think it tends to fade as the day goes on. It glides on nicely, and the coverage is OK.I don't think this is something I would re buy. I have pretty dark circles some days, so I basically need paint!

4. Loreal Colour Balm- I only tried one color and ended up returning it. These lipsticks have the same concept as the Lip Butters, with none of the color payoff. I was underwhelmed to say the least. The color was nude, but barely showed up on my lips. I would not re-buy this product at all.

I also want to share two drugstore foundations that are new but I love and highly recommend. Maybelline Fit Foundation and Dream Mousse Liquid are two of the best foundations I've found. I've re brought both of these and couldn't be happier with the way my skin looks when I wear them. The Fit Foundation gives your skin a dewy finish with a lighter coverage. The Dream Liquid Mousse is a heavier foundation but gives  the best coverage. I've had girls tell me how nice my skin looks when I have this on. I truly believe these two foundations are great foundations, drugstore or not.

I hope you all had an amazing weekend! I sure did!!!
