SPRING CLEAN + ORGANIZE + DECORATE ON A BUDGET FT HOLLAR.COM

This video is sponsored by Hollar.com

Hi friends! Spring cleaning is in full effect here and I couldn't be more excited. I went onto Hollar.com and I found almost everything I needed for clean, organizing and decorating my tiny bathroom on a budget! Hollar is my favorite online dollar store. They have a huge selection of items from $1-10. If you haven't seen any of my other Hollar Hauls (playlist here) you should check them out because I always find awesome deals.

CLEANING
Hollar has a new essentials section on their site, where they sell staple items we use everyday but they are super cheap. The sizes are large, you won't be getting the trial size or mini size bottles of cleaners. My favorite find from this section has to be the Reusable Cleaning Cloth! This is a glass cleaning cloth that can be reused. It eliminates the need for glass cleaning solution, so it saves you money and it's helping the planet because you're not making extra waste. This is the ultimate Frugal Lady Must Have!

Storage
When it comes to storage, I love to find new ways to use items. Hollar had this gorgeous Stone briar Large Glass Jar with Lid http://bit.ly/2o7lCxI for under $10 so I decided to use it to store cotton balls, but you could use it anywhere and for anything. It gives an apothecary jar feel and I just love that for the bathroom.

My favorite refresh was my makeup storage. Dollar has a private label called Just the Nest where they have storage and stationary items that are cute and cheap. I decided to use the Just the Nest Desk Organizer as storage for my makeup. The white looks clean and it holds my everyday makeup so well. The pen holder and envelope holder work so well for my makeup brushes and palettes. If I could give you 1 tip, it would be rethink everything. Just because an item is labeled for 1 thing, doesn't mean it can't work as another. I've always wanted acrylic organizers but I don't want to spend $20+ the Desk Organizer was $8 and worth every penny!

The gray storage boxes are also from the Just the Nest line and they are beautiful. The pattern and color work really well in the space but I also see them working in other areas of the house. The Round Storage Boxes by Just the Nest come with 3 boxes that can go inside of each other or can be stacked on top of each other.

I want you all to head over to Hollar and take a look around. They have amazing prices and great finds. I'm always happy with all the items I get from there. If you plan on refreshing your space here is a full list of all the products I mentioned in the video.

Floral Monogrammed Letter DIY

Hi Friends. If you cant tell by now, I'm ready for summer. The weather here is getting warmer and the days are staying light longer. It's a beautiful time on the east coast. I decided to do a  DIY Floral Monogrammed Letter. Its a great for spring since it brings a ton of color and texture into your home. If I had a little girl, she would definitely have one of these hanging in her nursery. This diy is so easy to make, as you could imagine.

All of the instructions are in the video above!

Bobby's Toddler Room Tour

Hi Friends! We moved B to his toddler bed back in December and tried  update his room to incorporate things that he's grown love. I want to start off by saying that we rent a 2 bedroom apartment, our home isn't as big as I want, but I try to make my entire house feel as cozy and home-y as possible. I totally believe, that regardless if you rent or own you should decorate your house!

If you didn't know by now, B loves Sesame Street. I knew I had to add touches of Sesame Street in his big boy room.

I painted the closet doors with a chalkboard paint I brought at Lowe's, the area rug is also from Lowe's. The area rug was $20 and is great for my toddlers room, because dirt doesn't easily show up. The picture frames are covered in mustache duct tape, then have letters glued inside.

We've used the same changing pad since Bobby came home from the hospital, and we're working on getting him potty trained so we don't have to use it anymore! The light is from Ikea and the little bucket is his Easter Basket from this year.

I love the board that we had everyone sign at the baby shower and plan to keep it up until I dye he wants to take it down. The bear to the right was a super sweet gift from his "Queenie", it has his name and birth date.  The bear to the left, was one of the very first gifts I gave to his daddy back when we first started dating 9 years ago (Yikes!).

The car bed is made by KidKraft, it was a gift from my mother-in-law. I found a link to the exact same one here. It was the perfect transition from crib to bed, but I plan on switching him to twin bed in a year or two. The quality is great, my hubby had no problem putting it together even though it had ba-jillion little pieces.

Bedding is from Target.com

Letters are painted from Michael's Craft Store

The toy chest was a gift from my mom, his "Queenie". The brand is Harmony Kids, I found the same one on Amazon (here) if you want more details. For the most part we keep all his toys in the closet or play area, so only a small amount of toys are kept in his bedroom. Whatever toys are kept in his room are kept tucked away, this helps his room look less cluttered.

I did a previous blog post showing how I added all his important newborn items into this shadow box. I like to keep it by the door in his room, it really reminds me how quickly time has passed and to enjoy the present moments.

That's it! I hope this gives you a teeny bit of inspiration or encouragements to go ahead and decorate your rented space. I love to blend new and old with sentimental pieces, that's what we did in our little guys room! Most of the things in his room are inexpensive so if your working on a tighter budget like us do like we did and PAINT! It will change the entire look of a room and really make it feel like home!
