Pinterest Your Interests

::Hey everyone visiting from the Sundae Scoop ! Please SUBSCRIBE and COMMENT so I can visit your blog and we can be new friends!! I appreciate everyone for coming by... now back to your regularly scheduled program!!::

I’ve begun a mini obsession with Pinterest, like so many others. I’ve always been the type of girl to rip out pages of magazines. I love to have all my inspiration in one place. I still do this, but now I can store so many of my Internet inspiration online. I absolutely love, the idea! I’ve also found some blogs that I really enjoy reading from clicking on the picture. I’ve planned Baby B’s entire birthday party on Pinterest, plus a back up theme just in case I change my mind. I have so many organizing, decorating, clothing, make up ideas. If you haven’t jumped on the bandwagon, I would highly recommend doing so. It’s given me the motivation to start different DIY projects. I know there is some debate going on, about copying original works. I want to just say, if you are going to Pin or Repin something please make sure the original poster of the picture is getting credit. Especially if something is being sold on Etsy, put the price and where you can buy it. Bloggers work really hard on the crafts that they put up, so it’s only right that they get all the credit.

Here are some of my favorite ideas I’ve pinned. Be sure to follow me on Pinterest so we can share inspiration!

I love the idea of pumpkin "bling" this is one project I've decided to complete and will post about once complete.

I saw this and immediately thought about making this Baby B once he's a little older. This is a great way to use cookie cutters that might not get used that often. Plus I know kids will love it.

These strawberry margarita jell-o shots looks so tasty, and would be great for any party. You could always make non-alcoholic version for a kids party

I've really started to love the yellow and gray color combination. This room is very neutral but has great pops of color. The 3 large framed photos is so nice, and something I hope to do. You should really check out the blog and see for yourself. I love this master bedroom

These shadow boxes are the cutest way to store your little ones clothes that they wore at the hospital or came home in. You can hang them in their room, or make it coordinate with your own room. This is another project I have planned for October, and I can't wait to do it!

I've always save things that have sentimental value and this is a gorgeous way to showcase your little ones clothes that they wore in the hospital or came home in. You can keep it in their room or have it match in your own. There is a full tutorial on how to do this, and this is another project I have planned for this month. This master bedroom screams sophisticated comfort to me! The nice large bed, that's dressed beautifully, the 3 framed photos above the bed, and a beautiful chandelier. This room is perfect, and I would love to make it all mine!

The door wreath made here is simple but chic, and I think that's why I love it so much. The blogger who made this said that all she did was wire the flowers through and then hot glue the painted letters onto the wreath. This will be my DIY project for next week, so look for that post to come.

I hope everyone has an amazing weekend! I've been pretty stressed trying to find a new place. My house is in complete disarray. That mixed with a cruising 8 month old boy, makes for some hectic days! We hope to be moved in the next 2 weeks, so please keep me it your prayers that I can make it that long!!

Wishing You All A Sensational Day

The Beginning of Fall

1417

Here on the East Cost, the weather is changing. That means cooler nights and changing leaves. We decided to take advantage of that and go to our local state park. They have a beautiful area right on the Delaware River, where you can see the city skyline and get some really great photos. I plan on taking Bobby’s official 7 month photos this weekend. He’s just a couple days shy of 8 months. I’m also planning on doing a fall photo shoot in the same park, with a fall setup. It should be really cute, I hope it comes out as I imagine. Happy Saturday, I hope your having a relaxing weekend.

Toygaroo: Play, Learn, Laugh, Then Send It Back! *Review*

I want to share my thought on a website that I recently started to use. The site is called Toygaroo, and it's says it's the Netflix for toys.  Basically subscribers sign up and pay a monthly fee to rent toys. The CEO Nikki Pope was on a show called "Shark Tank" where she sold 30% of the business for $200,000 to investors. It's a small business that I can see becoming very large. Now that you have the back story, now my review!

When I heard about this, I thought it would be a great way to try out a number of different toys without the risk of collecting dust. I've found that sometimes the new toy can be great in the store, and once it's home baby B could care less about it.  I signed up to receive 6 toys per month, paying $32.99 each month. The one thing that I didn't like is, they have plans where you can get toys every other month, but have to pay monthly. I feel like you shouldn't have to pay for the months you don't receive toys. Anyway, you pick 12 toys to have in your "pouch" and those are the ones that will get sent. I tried to pick higher priced items, just because I want to make sure I get  my monies worth. I received Explore and Grow Busy Ball Popper, Sweet Baby Blocks, Laugh & Learn Learning Workbench, Color Kaleidoscope, Rhyme and Discover Book, Bop and Rock Musical Lion
They all came shipped in one large box, and each toy was wrapped in plastic warp with a "Yuck free" sticker. What the sticker means is all the toys have been cleaned and sanitized using a 3 step process. The company seems to take cleanliness very seriously, and I'm all about that! Inside the box there also was the return shipping sticker and a paper about what to do. You have to keep the box because you'll need this to send the toys back. All the toys were in "Like New" condition. I was very pleased to see this. That was one of the things I was most worried about. I'm all about 2nd hand toys, but I want them to be in good condition. I planned on doing the 14 day free trial, but once the toys got here, I was more then happy to keep my subscription. I look forward to next months shipment. I also want to mention that Toygaroo has tons of toys to choose from from categories such as activity tables, award winners, crib toys, move 'n go, electronics, learning toys, and much more. There's never any late fees, you can keep the toys as long as you'd like.

So far I've been really happy, and I would recomend this site to you all to try. They offer a risk free trial, so if it's not for you get your money back. It's just life that kids lose interest in toys quickly, but with toy rentals you don't have to waste all that money.

I have a great chance for you to save 15% each month on any membership you choose! Use the coupon code: sensationalfinds

Debating: T.V. or No T.V.

I know that children and television is a very debatable topic. I personally love watching t.v, and have since I was a kid. When I was young I can remember having the tiniest t.v and laying around it with my sisters. In our house growing up you could only watch family friendly t.v shows, so 90210 wasn't allowed. This is why the mini black and white t.v would come in handy. When I was 10 my mom passed away, and with her went the rules she had set. My sisters and I each got t.v.'s for our rooms and we were addicted from there.
With all the raunchy reality t.v that's on, I'm nervous for B. I'm not against t.v watching, everything in moderation is OK. Right now at 6 months old Baby B watches Handy-Manny and Baby Einstein in the morning while he has his first bottle. It's become part of our schedule, and I really enjoy watching him stare intensely at the screen. It only last about a half hour, then he gets distracted and wants to play. I personally always have the t.v. on, more for background noise, but I'm struggling with turning it off. I would much rather have B listening to music, then the television. I know as he gets older he's going to want to watch more t.v., and I'm fine with that. As long as it doesn't consume his day. I plan on having a set amount of time each day that he can watch a show or movie. I hate when parents use t.v. as a babysitter, because they don't want to play with their child. That's so sad to me. A child should have human interaction, and not have to rely on the t.v as a playmate. I totally understand that there might be a time that I have to stick B in front of a movie so I can get something done, but that's not going to happen everyday. Parents that use the t.v. as a babysitter I feel, need to re-evaluate themselves as parents. They need to dedicate more time to their kids and help build their developmental skills. They should be the ones teaching their child colors and not the Disney Channel. Like I said I watched a ton of t.v after the age of 10, but up until that I played all day for the most part, and watched T.G.I.F on Friday nights with my mom and dad. It was something special that we always did together and I'll remember that forever. I hope to do the same with Baby B.
What are your thoughts on kids and t.v.? I would love to hear your opinion!
