ANOTHER REASON WHY I'D NEVER GO BACK TO CABLE TV | Creative Galaxy An Amazon Original Series

We've recently ditched our Cable TV provider and  now stream TV shows with apps like Amazon Prime Instant Video. With Amazon Prime you can stream your favorite TV shows, movies, and music. There are ton of different shows for adults and kiddos! Amazon Studios has created an original kid series available only on Amazon Prime Instant Video. Creative Galaxy is the newest addition to the Amazon Primes original series and it's a must watch! You can go Here to watch the first episode for free. You can also try Amazon Prime free for 1 month.

When I got the chance to review Amazon Kids new series Creative Galaxy, I was really excited. I was excited for a couple of reason, one of them being the creator, Angela Santomero. She is the creator of some of Bobby's favorite shows, Blues Clues, Super Why!, and Daniel Tigers Neighborhood. So I asked  Bobby to come and watch a few episodes, and he did not hesitate. The main character is Arty, a little green alien, who loves to create art. He has a sidekick named Ephipany, and together they travel around the galaxy solving problem with art, inspiring creative thinking through crafts, music, and dance.

Creative Galaxy is an interactive show that's part educational and part inspirational. The viewers are part of the show and act as 'helper artist', solve problems, answer questions and follow along as they travel around the galaxy. I love these types of shows for Bobby because it allows him to get involved, rather than just staring at the tv screen. In our favorite episode Arty's mom wanted him to take a bath, after she was done giving his little sister her bath. Arty didn't want to because he wasn't done coloring. So Arty figured out how he could take a bath AND draw at the same time. In each episode they switch to real-life kids  recreating the craft Arty showed. In this episode they made bath crayons, so we decided it would be fun to make some too!

Watch the VIDEO to see how we created our bath cfrayons and here our thoughts on the show!

Us moms know that any good kids show has to have a catchy theme song. Creative Galaxy has that covered. By the 2nd episode, Bobby was trying to sing along and we've been humming the song for the past week. I also love their catch phrase "Goooooo Be AMAZING!" Because yes Creative Galaxy, my kids are amazing!

Overall Creative Galaxy is a well rounded show! It's educational, inspirational, has a great story format, it's visually appealing, has great music kids can sing and dance too and Bobby and I both love it! It's a show for boys and girls, from preschool to school aged. I recommend watching this show with your kids and see how they get inspired by art!

Glade Expressions® Collection Product Review

Recently I was offered the chance to review the NEW Glade Expressions Collection. Glade says that the Expressions are: true-to-life fragrance combinations inspired by art and designed to open up note by note, filling your home and inviting life in. Stylish packaging combined with long lasting fragrance is the perfect way to combine home decor with home fragrance.

Here is my first impression:
The Oil Diffuser in Pineapple and Mangosteen
An extremely tropical scent. It smells great, like a summer day sipping on a tropical drink.
The packaging was nice, it looks a lot better then the reed diffusers I had years ago.
Easily accessible since they're available at Walmart, you can purchase them 24/7
Very kid and pet friendly
The scent lasts for weeks. Longer then any other flam less home fragrance I've used.

2 simple steps and the oil diffuser is put together

The Fragrance Mist in Cotton and Italian Mandarin
The packaging is sleek with nice modern twist
The scent is a fresh scent, it leaves the space smelling clean
Take away any odor
Easily Accessible

I've used Glade products before in the past I was never unhappy but I was never happy with them. When the chance to do this review came I was expecting to be underwhelmed. I put the oil diffuser together in 2 simple steps, then immediately smelled the amazing tropical fragrance. I loved it, but I feel in love when I woke up the next morning and the scent was still there! I don't think it'll work as well in a large space, but in a small space such as an entry way, bathroom, or hallway it would be perfect. I highly recommend the Glade Expression Oil Diffuser in Pineapple and Mangosteen. This will be a re-buy for me, for sure! The Glade Expressions Fragrance Mist works just as it said it would. The packaging is sleek and modern, you can remove the label so it blends easily into any decor. I like to use a fragrance mist to freshen up a room such as the bathroom or kitchen. I don't buy mist products too often I've used the Febreze Linen and Sky in the past. I did like the Cotton and Italian Mandarin and will be replacing the Febreze. For the price both of these products are worth a try!

This review is 100% honest. I was given these products for free from the Bzzagent Glade Expressions campaign.

Saying Goodbye to 2012

**** TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO ENTER THE NEW YEARS GIVEAWAY! BE SURE TO GO ENTER IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY. A $25 AMAZON GC IS THE PRIZE****

Hi friends! I hope your all had an amazing weekend. Since today's New Years Eve and I'm preparing to bring in the New Year with my man, I thought I'd reflect with you guys on this past year!

In 2012...

- I learned that life as a SAHM to a toddler is freakin' hard
- We celebrated our 9th year as a couple, and spent another holiday season together
- We lost our baby Diva. This is a sad subject for me, I love my dog, and hated having to put her down. We miss everyday.
- My relationship with my mom, as well as dad and brother, has grown into something so beautiful. They are my biggest supporters and I love them to death.
- We had an awesome superman 1st birthday party for B and now we're planning #2
- We spent sunny days playing at the park, splashing in the pool, or just taking a walk. We loved being outside, it was a daily routine.
- Baby B started talking and now at 23 months he says full sentences, can count to 10, says his ABC's, and knows his name (can you tell I'm proud)

In 2013...

- We plan on getting married, regardless if it's big or not
- I want to post regularly on my blog as well as social media sites
- Take Bobby to the beach for a family getaway
- I want to learn to be more organized and have a more methodical way of thinking. I watch OrganizedlikeJen on Youtube, and in her daily vlogs she is so methodical. She has a plan for everything and I love that about her. You should check out her videos and blog.
- Of course I have to put in the eat better or take better care of myself.

I love the start of a new year. It's a new chapter to the story of your life, and you can write it however you like. You first need to know what you want, then must think like it's yours. The power of positive thinking is extremely possible, you just have to think about what you want: or how you want your life. I plan using this to my families full advantage!

From my family to yours, we hope your New Years is beautiful and prosperous!

DIY Make Up Tips- Using Eyeshadow as Lip Color

Using eyeshadow to create a new lip color, is just one way you can interchange make up products. Some make up artist do this trick so they save space in their kit. Make Up is a medium which can be used in a number of different ways. Using clear lip gloss, Vaseline, or chap stick along with any eyeshadow you can create your own DIY Lipstick.

I've been experimenting with differeng color using the Coastal Scents 88 Palette. This palette is available on Amazon, but you can use any palette or colors you want. Ulta and Sephora always have a wide selection of palettes and colors. I feel like when I use eyeshadow on my lips it helps the color to stay on longer and make it more opaque. I think I'm going to try to use a L'orel Infalliable Eyeshadow since they have 24hr staying power, I'm curious to see how well they last on the lip.

Here are the steps and some tips!
- Make sure the your lips are hydrated. The powder will make any dry skin appear even dryer, and that is not cute... I know from experience.
- Apply a concealer or foundation over your entire lip. This will help the color to show up and last longer.
- Use a lip brush to get a precise outline. If you don't have a lip brush you can use a clean angled brush.
- I just use my brush or finger directly in the shadow, then apply it to my lip. I think apply the clear gloss to my finger and blend the color together.
- But you could also scrape the shadow off and onto a clean surface, then mix it with the clear gloss until you achieve the desire shade.
- You can try dabbing a small amount of gloss to the center of lips to make your lips appear larger.
- Go bold! You can see what looks good on you and what doesn't, withoutthe risk wasting money.

That's exactly what I did when I saw MAC Rebel. I was intrigued my the purplish tone, but wasn't sure if it would work on me. Once I created a purplish lip color, I loved it. I've went out and got Rebel and I LOVE IT but it's just as easy to use eyeshadow to create a close dupe! Here's a side by side.
From everyday to over the top, you can create a long lasting lip color using eyeshadow you might already have. Just because it's sold as a certain product does not mean it's limited to just that!

A Mixed Chicks Daily Hair Care Products

2012-05-29191328

Hi Friends! Today I'm showing you the products use I to get straight healthy hair. Being bi-racial has many ups and downs. For me growing up in an all white household, hair maintenance was a huge issue. My mom never knew how to do my hair. I can remember her asking a women at our church, who was black, to please help her with my hair. I laugh now thinking back to that time but it wasn't fun having wild hair as a little girl. My hair is course and thick. A lot of the mixed ladies I know have really tight curls, my isn't curly, just course.

I wash my hair every 1-2 weeks. Washing your hair too much washes away the oils your hair needs. I've fallen in love with the Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Shampoo and Conditioner. The Sleek and Shine Shampoo smells nice and leaves my hair feeling clean. I like my hair to be straight but still have volume. I don’t like my hair to look super straight. I used the Head and Shoulders Sleek Shampoo and Conditioner and it made my hair way too flat for my liking. This shampoo is great and I'll be using it for a while.

Luster’s Pink Lotion is something that I’ve used ever since I was little. I do rotate between this and the Olive Oil Lotion, I kind of like the Olive Oil product more. I use this every time to straighten my hair. I wash then blow dry my hair. Then I’ll apply this to each section of hair before I use the flat iron. It helps to smooth out any frizz and makes your hair straight. It can be oily so if you don’t have ethnic hair I would say use with caution.

Olive Oil Oil Sheen- After my hair is straightened and styled the way that I want it, I spray this over my entire hair. It leaves my hair looking shiny and healthy. I don’t use it every day, only when I do my hair after I wash it. But you could use it every day if you wanted.
any frizz and makes your hair straight. I can be oily so if you don’t have ethnic hair I would say use with caution.

Flat Iron- This is a must for anyone! The more expensive the flat iron, the hotter it gets, and the better it will work. If you have mixed hair like me, you really need a straighter to get to 400 degrees or higher. I’ve had this one forever and really like it.

Other important things you’ll need:
Clips- These types of clips are great. They hold your hair when you’re straightening, but also great to pull your hair up without messing it up. You can find them at Sally’s Beauty Supply.

A comb is important for getting all of the knots out. You can use a brush in between, but when washing your hair you need a comb.

I like these soft curlers that I brought from Rite Aid. I don’t use them all the time, but when I do it makes doing my hair in the morning really easy. I sleep with them in and then in the morning just take them out and my hairs curled.

Also you should try to wrap your hair every night in a scarf. I don’t have one pictured, but I try to use it every night. This helps keep your hair straight and you won’t sweat it out at night time. If I don’t use mine at night, you can see how frizzy my hair get the next morning. Then I’ll have to wash it sooner, so it’s annoying when I forget. All I do it bobby pin the curls to my head, then tie the scarf. Simple!

I plan on doing another post showing start to finish how I do my hair. This post is just to show you the products I use and what works best for me. If you have any questions please leave them in the comments!

** I was sent the Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine shampoo and conditioner to review because I am a BzzAgent. All the opinions mentioned are 100% honest.

Product Review Blog: The Shops at Target

I'm doing quick product review blog on The Shops at Target. I took pictures of The Shops displays when I went on Sunday. Most of them were end caps and had large signs above there location. I did show you the merchandise that they had, but never told you what I thought.

24850_Shop The Webster's Apparel & Accessories Items, Part of The Shops at Target - Opens 5/6

The quality of the clothes are OK for the price. They're about $35.00 and up. I thought it was a ton of resort wear. It's perfect for a summer vacation, but not everything would work for my everyday style. I only purchased one dress that I didn't take pictures of. The accessories were really nice, I loves how well made the earrings were. The funny thing I saw, was Target is selling the exact same style of earring for half the quality and price. You would think they would make a different style.

24850_Shop Select Polka Dog Bakery Pet Items, Part of The Shops at Target - Opens 5/6

The Polka Dog Bakery had the cutest collars and toys. The quality was nice and I think it's a great buy for any pup.

24850_Shop Privet House Home Items, Part of The Shops at Target - Opens 5/6

I was kinda disappointed by Privet House. I thought there would have been more items. Everything at my store is pictured below. I really wanted the tray, but I didn't see it (maybe it's online only). I loved the coral color that they've used throughout this line.

This candle smelled amazing! I should have picked it, because it smelled that good.

I plan on going back and seeing if they put out anything else. As well as picking up a few more items.
I would love to know what you purchased, and how you like it!

Today I had my first day as a juror, I can't even believe I got picked. It's exciting and nerve racking, at the same time. Follow me on twitter(@Sensation_Finds), to hear all the details.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope your having an amazing day friends!
