Happy Easter Friends!
Happy Easter Friends! I hope your all having an amazing day. Today we gave B is Easter basket in the morning, then we went to an Easter egg hunt downtown. It was a nice time, but way too many kids. B was only able to get one egg, before they were all gone. That was a little annoying because we waited for about 1 1/2 hours, but it was a great day. We came home, relaxed, and had Mexican for dinner! It was a great day, and I'm glad we spent it how we did.
| Baby B's face is priceless, he was exhausted! |
Last week was a really busy week at work, since it was the end of the month, so I wasn't able to do too many blog post. Things should be back to normal this week, and if not then definitely by the following week.

We Love Spring Weather
The feeling of spring brings back memories of being a kid. Being happy to have more time to play outside while my mom and dad worked in their garden. I try to pass on the memories that I had with Baby B, in hopes that he has a great childhood like I did. So with all that said, we having been spending as much time outside as possible. Either we take a walk or go to the park, either way B loves it. Here are some pictures of our day at the park.

This little maniac kept trying to climb up thee slide. And the best part is he did pretty good on his own. He's so strong, and I love to see the determined look on his face!

Trend Alert: Colored Denim
I was able to get my Trend Alert Tuesday up on Tuesday, but I have it today. The trend that I'm loving right now is colored denim. It's such a great way to add a pop of color to your outfit. Plus they're now available in many different price points. I brought my royal blue skinnies from a local store for $19.99, what a deal! I know Target carries some as well ,if your looking to try them and don't want to splurge. As you can tell I'm not small, and have large thighs and calves. This is a trend that I feel looks good on everyone. Colored denim can be dressed up, with heels, or down with flats or sandals. If you try one trend this spring, I think it should definitely be colored denim!

During my high fashion photo shoot my lovely assistant decided he wanted to walk the dog. He's such a big boy and looked too cute not to include in my photos! What a stud!

Here's a couple other colors to look at, if you don't want a blue pair

Baby Keepsake Shadow Box
When I first saw this shadow box on Pintrest, I knew I had to make my own. I'm such a hoarder when it comes to sentimental things. Ever since my passed way when I was 10, my family always kept things that had sentimental value. So of course I kept all Baby B's things from the hospital. Using the shadow box, not only lets you display your items, but you can keep them away from dust and dirt. I hope to one day give it to Bobby, but I'm not sure if boys are into that kinda thing. What do you think? Well if he doesn't want it I'll just keep it forever! Here's how I did it.
You'll need everything pictured below.
Next I cut my card board to fit the decorative pieces.
Then I hot glued it together. This helped it pop out and not just lie flat on the paper.
Now your going to glue or pin your keepsakes to the paper. I hot glue mine and that worked fine. If you don't want to ruin your items you can pin them to the paper. I used the shirt and hat they gave us in the hospital, as well as mine and his bracelet's we wore.
You should now arrange the letters, pictures , and decorative items how you'd like. I just placed the letter and picture in the box, and glued the other pieces to the paper.
This is your finished product!
Where I found everything
Shadow Box- Joanne's Fabric 50% off came out to 12.50
Decorative Items (paper, stickers, other) Joanne's Fabric- 40% 5.00
The letter I had but you can find one at any craft store for a couple dollars.
I hope you like it and use your saved baby items to make something pretty. If your new please subscribe, because that would make my day!

Bobby's Superhero 1st Birthday!
I wanted to share with you all the details of Baby B's Superhero 1st birthday party. We had it at a restaurant near our house, and invited about 20 people. I pleased with the way it turned out. it was my 1st time planning a party like this. There are so many inspirational party decor blogs out there and that's where a ton of my ideas came from. The decorations were DIY for the most part, and cost me no more then $100. I hope you all enjoy the pictures
The cupcake stand was made myself, which I talked about in my party planning post. The plates and tablecloth were from Walmart, and are still available if your interested. The background is streamers that I hot glued to a project board.
The cupcake toppers I made myself using Picnik. If you'd like to know how message me for details
There is the birthday boy in his shirt that I had made from an Etsy store link here. The hat is made from glitter card stock paper purchased at MMicheal's. The "1" is felt that I cut out and hot glued. Super easy, but he didn't keep it on long!
The cake was made by my Aunt, how did an amazing job. I think it looks great and was so happy she took the time to do it.
The blue icing dyed everything blue, even his hands! It was so fuuny. But to be honest, he didn't really east the cake! I thought he would love it, but he just liked to play with it. P
The happy birthday boy! We had a great time and it's crazy to think a year has gone by already, butI'm sure all you mommies feel the same way. I can't wait to see how he grows over the next year!

Party Picture Preview!
We had our little mans Superhero Bash this past weekend, and I couldn’t be more please with the way it came out. I’m so thankful for all the friends and family that came to help celebrate a successful year. The photographer we hired was Melonie from Name Your Own Price Photography, and she was wonderful. She’s just starting her own photography business. If your in the Philadelphia area, I would recommend her for sure. She’s reasonably priced, friendly, professional, and most of takes great pictures. Here a few of the teasers that she shared with us, and I couldn’t wait to show you guys. Once I have all the pictures I’ll be doing a detailed party post.
