Bobby's Superhero 1st Birthday!

I wanted to share with you all the details of Baby B's Superhero 1st birthday party. We had it at a restaurant near our house, and invited about 20 people. I pleased with the way it turned out. it was my 1st time planning a party like this. There are so many inspirational party decor blogs out there and that's where a ton of my ideas came from. The decorations were DIY for the most part, and cost me no more then $100. I hope you all enjoy the pictures
The cupcake stand was made myself, which I talked about in my  party planning post. The plates and tablecloth were from Walmart, and are still available if your interested. The background is streamers that I hot glued to a project board.

The cupcake toppers I made myself using Picnik. If you'd like to know how message me for details

There is the birthday boy in his shirt that I had made from an Etsy store link here. The hat is made from glitter card stock paper purchased at MMicheal's. The "1" is felt that I cut out and hot glued. Super easy, but he didn't keep it on long!

The cape I made myself and just used a tutorial I found online. I also made one for the kids how came.

The cake was made by my Aunt, how did an amazing job. I think it looks great and was so happy she took the time to do it.

The blue icing dyed everything blue, even his hands! It was so fuuny. But to be honest, he didn't really east the cake! I thought he would love it, but he just liked to play with it. P

The happy birthday boy! We had a great time and it's crazy to think a year has gone by already, butI'm sure all you mommies feel the same way. I can't wait to see how he grows over the next year!

Slacking On My Pimpin'

I've been slacking on my blogging lately, and I miss doing it. So much is happening in my life right now, so finding time to blog is hard. I started a new job a couple weeks ago. I'm no longer an official SAHM. I still consider myself a SAHM because I still do everything I normally did, plus work 40 hours. The first couple days were hard to be away from Baby B, but I'm getting better. Right now it's the best decision for the family, and that's the number one priority. I really like my job, that's a huge plus. I work with some great people and the atmosphere is really laid, so I couldn't be happier.
We also have were on the apartment hunt, for what seemed like forever. It seemed much harder this time around. We've been in our current place for 4 years, so it's been a while. I'm happy to say that we've finally found a place! Thank God, because this mama couldn't take much more. It's a  different neighborhood, but only about 3 minutes away. I'm looking forward to moving and making this new place our home. I have so many projects to come, and can't wait to share them with you. I've gotten so inspired from different blogs I read, as well as Pinterest. I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween! We had a great time, we took a ton of pictures, and seen some great kids dressed up. We went around our neighborhood, everyone was outside handing out candy to the kids. It was a great time, making memories with my boys!
Please bare with me while I get myself and my family on a schedule. I miss blogging and can't wait to get back to one of my favorite things to do!

Pinterest Your Interests

::Hey everyone visiting from the Sundae Scoop ! Please SUBSCRIBE and COMMENT so I can visit your blog and we can be new friends!! I appreciate everyone for coming by... now back to your regularly scheduled program!!::

I’ve begun a mini obsession with Pinterest, like so many others. I’ve always been the type of girl to rip out pages of magazines. I love to have all my inspiration in one place. I still do this, but now I can store so many of my Internet inspiration online. I absolutely love, the idea! I’ve also found some blogs that I really enjoy reading from clicking on the picture. I’ve planned Baby B’s entire birthday party on Pinterest, plus a back up theme just in case I change my mind. I have so many organizing, decorating, clothing, make up ideas. If you haven’t jumped on the bandwagon, I would highly recommend doing so. It’s given me the motivation to start different DIY projects. I know there is some debate going on, about copying original works. I want to just say, if you are going to Pin or Repin something please make sure the original poster of the picture is getting credit. Especially if something is being sold on Etsy, put the price and where you can buy it. Bloggers work really hard on the crafts that they put up, so it’s only right that they get all the credit.

Here are some of my favorite ideas I’ve pinned. Be sure to follow me on Pinterest so we can share inspiration!

I love the idea of pumpkin "bling" this is one project I've decided to complete and will post about once complete.

I saw this and immediately thought about making this Baby B once he's a little older. This is a great way to use cookie cutters that might not get used that often. Plus I know kids will love it.

These strawberry margarita jell-o shots looks so tasty, and would be great for any party. You could always make non-alcoholic version for a kids party

I've really started to love the yellow and gray color combination. This room is very neutral but has great pops of color. The 3 large framed photos is so nice, and something I hope to do. You should really check out the blog and see for yourself. I love this master bedroom

These shadow boxes are the cutest way to store your little ones clothes that they wore at the hospital or came home in. You can hang them in their room, or make it coordinate with your own room. This is another project I have planned for October, and I can't wait to do it!

I've always save things that have sentimental value and this is a gorgeous way to showcase your little ones clothes that they wore in the hospital or came home in. You can keep it in their room or have it match in your own. There is a full tutorial on how to do this, and this is another project I have planned for this month. This master bedroom screams sophisticated comfort to me! The nice large bed, that's dressed beautifully, the 3 framed photos above the bed, and a beautiful chandelier. This room is perfect, and I would love to make it all mine!

The door wreath made here is simple but chic, and I think that's why I love it so much. The blogger who made this said that all she did was wire the flowers through and then hot glue the painted letters onto the wreath. This will be my DIY project for next week, so look for that post to come.

I hope everyone has an amazing weekend! I've been pretty stressed trying to find a new place. My house is in complete disarray. That mixed with a cruising 8 month old boy, makes for some hectic days! We hope to be moved in the next 2 weeks, so please keep me it your prayers that I can make it that long!!

Wishing You All A Sensational Day

Amber Teething Necklace Review

068
I’ve been doing some research on the Amber Teething necklaces for a couple months now. I really wanted one for B, but didn’t really want to spend the money, just in case it didn’t work. My Secret Sister sent one as a gift, and I was so excited when I opened up the box. He’s been using it for about a month now, so I can give you a review on it so far. Here is a little info about Amber and what it does:
When ballistic amber is worn on the skin, the skin’s warmth releases trace amounts of healing oils from the amber. These oils contain succinic acids and absorbed into the skin. (This was copied from Inspired By Finn click here to visit there site)
Baby B received his necklace from Inspired By Finn and it’s consider the 4 different round, which comes in 5 different lengths for youth. He’s been wearing the necklace every day. I remove it at bath time, then don’t put it back on him until he wakes up in the morning. The necklace is close to his neck, so when it’s on, he doesn’t even realize it’s on. I thought he would try to pull it, and play with it, but he hasn’t. The first day he wore it, he seemed to drool a lot less. He has yet to cut any teeth, but tends to have signs of teething at times. He is always mouthing and drooling, so I was happy to see that the drooling was less. I have had to give him Tylenol twice this month, because he was really fussy and crying. I will say I haven’t seen any drastic changes since wearing the necklace. But we also haven’t had any teeth cut. I’m going to have him continue to wear it, because even if it doesn’t work, he looks so stinkin’ cute!

My best friend... and Playroom ideas!

Hey Ladies! I've been hanging with my dear friend tonight, one that always has tons of great ideas. Her name is.... Google. Yes, Google is a she and she happens to be one of my most dependable friends. I can always count on Google to get the wheels in my brain spinning. I've been contemplating turning my office nook into a play nook. Mostly because it's half office half playroom, and I'm hating the way it looks.  It's a nook in our living room so I look at everyday, and it's starting to bother me.
I have so many ideas of what I want. I definitly want tons of storage, since that happens to be a huge issue it the rest of our house. I also want it to be colorful, fun, comfy, and transitional. We have lived in this apartment for the last 4 years and plan to stay here for a while longer, so whatever we have here needs to be able to move with us. Anything like built-ins just wouldn't work. Here are a couple different rooms I found and really liked and wanted to share with you guys. If you have any tips or would like me to check out your playroom please let me know!
I love the color scheme in this room. I like how the color of the rug matches the doors on the book case.

This is a foam play mat painted in the Chevron print. Love Love Love this! Amazing idea.

The low table with storage underneath is great for little ones. I know there will be chalkboard paint somewhere in our playroom!

The book shelf built around the window is so cute

This looks like it was a t.v entertainment center and they decided to add a seat and chalkboard. I'm all about reinventing something, and hope to do the same.
I feel so inspired by all of theses rooms. I plan on spending some more time getting ideas. Baby B is almost 7 months, and really just started playing with toys, so I've got some time. I want it to be entertaining and educational for him, and not just thrown together. I just had to share my thoughts and ideas with you guys. Now I'm off to catch some zzz's before it's too late!
