SELFIE STICK REVIEW AND WHY ITS A GAME CHANGER

Hi guys! This Christmas the selfie stick was a very popular 'gag' gift, we all have that one person that loves to take a selfie. Well, that selfie pole is one of the best things I've brought since starting Youtube. 

I searched Amazon and found the AFUNTA Extended pole with 1/4 in screw. The screw allows you to use it with your camera or go pro and it comes with the attachment you need to use with your phone. The selfie stick comes with a Bluetooth remote shutter, which you just pair to your phone and BOOM! Say bye bye to having to reach for that button! 




The pole is  monopod extended pole, it feels nicely made, had grip on the handle so it'll be harder to drop, has the arm strap and for only $11.50 I think it's worth every penny!



Since I started Vlogging I find that holding the camera or iPhone to get everything in the frame can be really hard. I like that I can hold the pole and capture everything! I know lots of ladies have been telling me how popular these are at Disney World, and I can see why! Now mom can be in the picture too! We are usually the ones behind the camera or you have to ask a stranger! You can fit it in your purse and when you want everyone in the photo or video just use your selfie stick.

Here's the camera shown in the video. It's the Canon Sx150is and I've had it for a few years. It's a great introductory camera, especially when your learning to shoot in manual. I hope to upgrade this year to a new Sony camera.
 
I promise you, it's not as silly as it sounds! It's a great idea and I'm so happy that I decided to buy it. It shipped quickly from Amazon and was exactly as described. So get ready guys because your going to see more Vlogging and photos of this mama!

Party Picture Preview!

We had our little mans Superhero Bash this past weekend, and I couldn’t be more please with the way it came out. I’m so thankful for all the friends and family that came to help celebrate a successful year. The photographer we hired was Melonie from Name Your Own Price Photography, and she was wonderful.  She’s just starting her own photography business. If your in the Philadelphia area, I would recommend her for sure. She’s reasonably priced, friendly, professional, and most of takes great pictures. Here a few of the teasers that she shared with us, and I couldn’t wait to show you guys. Once I have all the pictures I’ll be doing a detailed party post.

My New Office Nook... I'm in love

This weekend we decided to go to Ikea to decorate a nook area as my office area. Every morning I read my regular DIY and budget decorating blogs that I get tons of inspiration from. I love a comfortable contemporary living space. I want my house apartment to feel lived in, but also have a clean feeling. I don't have a ton of money to spend on furniture or decor so I'm so proud of the way my office turned out. I spent around $300.00 for everything except curtains. This is the first of many more projects to come. All my goodies were purchased at the oh-so fabulous Ikea, some of the little nik-naks I had and just moved to this space. I LOVE having my own little area, a place for just me. Of course Bobby can come in sometimes. I now can browse the web and get inspired to do more with this blog and other ideas I've been thinking of, in style.

The Beginning of Fall

Here on the East Cost, the weather is changing. That means cooler nights and changing leaves. We decided to take advantage of that and go to our local state park. They have a beautiful area right on the Delaware River, where you can see the city skyline and get some really great photos. I plan on taking Bobby’s official 7 month photos this weekend. He’s just a couple days shy of 8 months. I’m also planning on doing a fall photo shoot in the same park, with a fall setup. It should be really cute, I hope it comes out as I imagine. Baby B's 6 Month Photoshoot

Hey Ladies! Today I finally took B's 6 month photos even though he'll be 7 months next week. I'm slacking, but it's all good. At his 6 month check up he was 14lbs which puts him in the 10% for weight. He's tiny, but the doctor said that he's growing fine. He started crawling and now wants to pull himself up on everything! It's all about defense now, I try to block him from anything that can hurt him. He's definitely keep us on our toes. There hasn't been any teeth break through yet. He still isn't STTN but only wakes 1 or 2 times for the Binky. We did sleep training this month, and could not be happier with the outcome. I plan on doing another post about our experience with sleep training. Here are a few of the shots that I took at our house with my "set up", (if you can even call it that). He's such a ham with the camera, and always smiles when I bribe him with puffs!

5 Month Photo Shoot

Hi Guys, I just wanted to share some pictures from our 5 month photo shoot. What a little man my boy has become. It's hard to believe B will be 6 months old in a week! I'm planning a 6 month birthday party for him. So we'll get him a small gift and have cake and ice cream for family. It should be fun, so I'll post pictures I hope everyone had a great weekend!
