Monogrammed Key Ring Holder

I’ve been loving all things monogrammed. So my newest projects incorporate our monogram. It’s a classic way to customize your home.

We moved into our new apartment a week ago. I’ve been unpacking for the most part, and trying to get everything organized. Here are two projects I’ve completed, for our new home.

key ring1 I love this key ring holder and think it’s going to look great that the door, above a table I have yet to complete. I’ll be sure to show you the complete look once it’s done!key ring2

I showed you these pillows that I did a couple weeks ago, and finally got around to putting the finishing touches on them. I love the monogrammed pillow!pillow3pillow

This is what you you see as soon as you walk in. I like it, but feel like it looks a little sparse. I think it needs something more. What would you add? I plan on painting soon, but wanted this up to see how I like it.026

I hope you are having a great week! I’m linking up to the link parties listed at the bottom of my page!

DIY Chevron Pillow

067-1 - Copy
I’ve been searching online and in stores for throw pillows. I just can’t bring myself to spend $30 on one pillow. So I took matters into my own hands and made pillows. I’m no seamstress, I don’t even own a sewing machine. I’m quite proud of the way they came out. I spent about $17 on fabric, because I just wanted to test it out first. I found the tutorial on pintrest, which showed me how to tape the pillow and paint the chevron design on it. The paint could have been way more even, but for my first try, I can’t complain. If you want to see how I made the pillows and painted the design, please leave me a comment and I’ll make another post all about it. I plan on making more pillows, so perhaps I could do it then. These pillows were super easy to make, so easy you don’t even need a sewing machine. I love the way the came out, and I hope you try it as well. Now I’m off to make some more and enjoy the rest of my weekend. I hope your all having a great weekend.

Slacking On My Pimpin'

I've been slacking on my blogging lately, and I miss doing it. So much is happening in my life right now, so finding time to blog is hard. I started a new job a couple weeks ago. I'm no longer an official SAHM. I still consider myself a SAHM because I still do everything I normally did, plus work 40 hours. The first couple days were hard to be away from Baby B, but I'm getting better. Right now it's the best decision for the family, and that's the number one priority. I really like my job, that's a huge plus. I work with some great people and the atmosphere is really laid, so I couldn't be happier.
We also have were on the apartment hunt, for what seemed like forever. It seemed much harder this time around. We've been in our current place for 4 years, so it's been a while. I'm happy to say that we've finally found a place! Thank God, because this mama couldn't take much more. It's a  different neighborhood, but only about 3 minutes away. I'm looking forward to moving and making this new place our home. I have so many projects to come, and can't wait to share them with you. I've gotten so inspired from different blogs I read, as well as Pinterest. I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween! We had a great time, we took a ton of pictures, and seen some great kids dressed up. We went around our neighborhood, everyone was outside handing out candy to the kids. It was a great time, making memories with my boys!
Please bare with me while I get myself and my family on a schedule. I miss blogging and can't wait to get back to one of my favorite things to do!
